You may be practicing almost all of the things you will read below in your daily use, but there may be things you missed. So, give this post a chance.

Before I get to the tips, I’d like to share with you a piece of information that I’ve been curious about. The very first web browser was invented in 1990 by Sir Tim Berners-Lee, who is the founder of the Worldwide Web Foundation. At first, The name of this browser was WorldWideWeb, but later changed to Nexus the following year. first web browser having a graphical user interface was Mosaic developed in 1994, and was renamed to Netscape Navigator in 1995 which quickly became the world’s most popular browser, accounting for 90% of all web use at its peak. Look What was going on when we were younger anyway. Internet Explorer, which we all know was published in 1995. It took Microsoft 7 years to take over Netscape’s position and dominate the browser market, and this time the number of Netscape users dropped to around 5%. And then the rest is all we know about. Firefox, Chrome, Opera so nowadays there are many alternative web browsers.

But how to treat these browsers better? What should we do and what should not? You will find the answers to your questions below.

Tips for a better web browsing experience

Let me start by saying that the tips I’ll share apply to desktop versions of web browsers.

Subscribe to a trusted internet service provider

Internet service providers are there for your computer to communicate with the online world. Even if you have the best computer, if you have a problematic internet connection, your web browsing can turn into a real mess. So be careful that your provider is reliable enough.

Keep your browser up to date

As web browsers are updated, important updates are made within the browser engine. For example, although there is no difference in appearance between version 1.0 and 1.0.1 of the X browser, you shouldn’t be surprised seing thousands of bugs were fixed and the browser engine was improved so the speed of your browser is at a better stage. So, install each and every update released for your browser.

Keep as few plugins as possible in your browser

Plugins made for Web browsers make our work much easier however, installing much amount of plugins will slow down your browser. When installing plugins, stay away from multiple plugins that do the same thing in particular.

Clear cookies and browser cache periodically

Although cookies play a big role in terms of making web pages to load faster, the same cookies can cause serious lag in your browser with time. Clear your browsing history when you can, history items such as form data you entered on web pages, addresses you visited, and so on. If you are having trouble keeping passwords in mind just like me, make sure that you don’t delete the login records while clearing the history.

Work with tabs instead of new browser windows

When you want to navigate to a new page, open a new tab instead of clicking on the icon of the browser again from the taskbar or desktop. By following this method, you will have better performance with your browser even if you have dozens of tabs open. Also, your tabs will be under control.

Keep at least one tab open

Starting your browser again and again affects the performance. Instead, Launch your browser and don’t close it completely unless necessary. When you want to open a new page, you will save time instead of waiting for the browser to launch, and the pages you visit will load much faster while one tab is open at the background.

Tips for a better web browsing experience

That is all! With the simple but useful tips I shared above, you’ll enjoy using your web browser with a maximum performance. Finally, I recommend Firefox, especially since it’s more user-friendly and significantly faster with the Quantum release. If you have additional tips for web browsers on both computers and mobile devices, you can type them in the comments section.
