Ladies and gentlemen! If you also like discovering new songs like me, my new post is exactly for you. In this post, I will introduce 16 singers and bands that I have discovered on Spotify. As you may guess, the names on my list are from various countries around the world. From Ghana, to Iceland. Before I start, I’d like to briefly talk about how I discovered those singers and bands.
I started using Spotify in 2015. Before that, I used to discover new songs through internet radio stations and find them on Shazam. After joining Spotify, everything was much easier. I tuned in to the premade lists and made various types of searches, found new lists and songs. Consequently the songs that Spotify offered me began to diversify. In the same playlist, I was able to find a hit song, relatively old, but unknown and new songs.
Every week, I carefully listened to my weekly discovery and release radar playlists and collected the songs I like. There were too many songs I added to my library from among other playlists and of course from what my friends were listening to as well. I’ve been thinking about doing this list for a long time, but I didn’t know of which ones should I write here. Finally, I chose 16 out of a hundred names. In this article, I will briefly introduce all of them, and share one of their songs respectively. If you’re ready, let’s get started.
Kensington is a Dutch rock band from Utrecht, Netherlands that was formed at in 2005. The members include Casper Starreveld, Eloi Youssef, Niles Vandenberg and Jan Haker. I discovered Kensington in late 2016. I was impressed when I first heard the song Sorry from their 2016 album Control. Their sounds and styles are quite different. Sory became a hit that the famous Dutch DJ Armin van Buuren remixed this sad song. But I’m going to share a different song here. Because sorry is not a song that can be listened to at anytime.
